Leblanc hasn't impressed me this season. But he did make the jump from Junior to the AHL to the NHL in one year. So that is a hard adjustment.
Hopefully he develops.
As for Kristo I'm not crossing my fingers. |

he's 20, less than a year removed from junior. what were you expecting? he shouldn't even be here but there's such a glaring lack of talent on the team, there was no choice. i think he's done fine given the circumstance. he's not a can't-miss kid, though. at best he'll be a second liner.
as for DK, gotta question a kid who's not ready to go pro at 21. another year in college is a waste, hockey-wise. |

Leblanc needs to get stronger to perform at the NHL level, with his shoulder surgery last summer, that didn't happen. If he can stay healthy until the end of the season and spend the summer getting stronger, it will really help him for next year.
As for Wayne mother (frank)ing Kristo.....well he will be 22 in a few months, still playing with kids in the NCAA...and he thinks he is still not ready. Wow...the kid has no back bone, no drive to take his game to another level. He needs to go to Hamilton and start playing with men, put his focus 100% on hockey if he intends to make an NHL career one day. |

Reminds me of guys like BĂ©langer and Dupuis, serviceable player who can easily chip-in offensively. I might be wrong but i also think he has more offensive upside than both these players. |

I saw Kristo and thought you might have meant Cristo - as in Cristobal Huet.
I wonder if he could rediscover some elan by returning to Montreal. |

He didnt leave the NHL a bad goaltender, he simply was overpaid for the level of goaltending he offers. Also, he's bad ass cuz' he's French and made it to the NHL. |

How badly do we want to sign a small winger? Especially one who does not feel ready? I see the value in signing him while thinking future trade, but we have more than enough small wingers waiting.
Leblanc has performed well considering he should have spent the whole year in Hamilton. We don't have enough quality guys in Montreal to allow our prospects to develop in Hamilton. I hope we don't rush Tinordi and Beaulieau. |

Steven, as far as I know, Michigan's season was put to an end on friday when they lost 3-2 in OT to Cornell. So they might not be facing UND next round
But yeah, I've been vocal about it for a while, Kristo has the best offensive potential amongst our prospects. Better than Gallagher.
He has such a great combination of speed, hands, vision and a shot. Before this year, he used to hug the puck too much but he learned to use his teammates while playing with Nelson and Knight. He really became a better player.
He's also a guy who is reliable enough to be used in PK situations.
I don't think he'll make the jump straight to the NHL though, since he needs to fillout, as he'll get pushed around in the pros untill he gets stronger. |

Also, instead of looking at Dell for a backup, we should checkout for Chris Rawlings, who reminds me a whole lot of Brad Thiessen.
Dell was my pick before last year, but he struggled mightily this season. |

5'11 is the same height of Mike Richards, just sayin'
Kristo is no slouch when it comes to physical play either, he just isn't ready physically. |

Last night's game was Fan Appreciation Night at the Wells Fargo Center. The crowd showed some gratitude of its own when Chris Pronger was shown on the big screen, sitting next to Ed Snider. Even some of the Montreal players on the ice tapped their sticks on the ice in appreciation of the future Hall of Fame defenseman

A bit late on this, but Kristo must make the jump next season. Playing in the NCAA for so long is slowing his development...at some point, you need to play some games...and 30 something per season is not enough. He needs some "mileage". |

Aaron Dell is from Airdrie Alberta, not Airdale. He's my cousin and the Hab's DID offer a contract last season. He declined which was a smart move as he can learn a lot more and benefit from more playing time. He still has one year of eligibility left so it will be interesting to see if he signs with the Habs this season. His numbers are down slightly this season because North Dakota is not as good as they were last season talent wise. They are a lot younger.
Danny Kristo is a good hockey player and will be a nice addition to the Habs. It may take a season or two for him to adjust though. |
